Impulsada por un sistema de pistón de carrera corta, la SIG516 G3 está diseñada para funcionar de forma más limpia y con menor temperatura, a la vez que ofrece la durabilidad y el rendimiento constante que caracterizan a esta plataforma.
Diseñado para el uso policial moderno, el rifle cuenta con controles totalmente ambidiestros , un guardamanos M-LOK flotante y palancas de carga traseras y laterales no recíprocas para una manipulación y un control intuitivos.
Un sistema de gas ajustable de 3 posiciones permite que la plataforma se adapte a diversas condiciones de operación y configuraciones con o sin silenciador. Los componentes reforzados con acero en las zonas de mayor desgaste y el gatillo curvo Matchlite Duo garantizan una durabilidad a largo plazo y una precisión de disparo refinada.
